Lapis has been contracted to develop a Risk Education campaign that improves awareness, increases understanding and encourages the adoption of safe(r) behaviors among diverse ‘at risk’ target demographics in Iraq.
Lapis led on the development of the communication strategy, plan and associated communications tools to contribute to the campaign.
The campaign focused on promoting safe behaviours regarding the identification, avoidance and reporting of explosive hazards in Ninawa, Kirkuk, Salah Al Den, Diyala, and Al Anbar, using interactive digital campaigning, appealing videos, and infographics.
The project relied on qualitative and quantitative research which looked into the gaps in knowledge about explosive hazards, the issues that are top-of-mind for those at risk, and the most popular media platforms amongst the target audience.
The findings were used to craft messages for the campaign, which can have influence on the behaviors that expose the target audience to risk.
