Lapis designed and has been implementing the GBV Prevention and Referral System Awareness Raising Campaign in three provinces of Afghanistan to raise public awareness about preventing violence and discrimination against women and girls.
The campaign’s aim is to promote messages about ending violence against women through mass media, social media, and community interventions targeting the cultural and religious contexts under the umbrella of GBV and introduce the prevention and referral systems of UNICEF and RUNOs to end violence against women.
The campaign themes were derived from participatory workshops that included representatives of local CSOs, media actors, key experts, and community representatives who were guided to discuss local priorities and define social cohesion in local terms.
Creative concepts and directions were adapted and tailored for every region to address priorities and key messages.
