Khat-e-Sewom (The Third Line) is a Lapis-produced TV series created with the long-term goal of building resilient mindsets to undermine violent and non-violent extremism in Afghanistan. Lapis developed and broadcast 2 seasons of the drama series to help young people grapple with everyday frustrations and lack of opportunities, while growing and learning through new experiences. The storyline of the series was grounded in reality and dealt with themes and issues that were relevant and compelling to young audiences and ultimately touched on the root causes of violent extremism. Lapis promoted the series through university events and social media platforms. Audiences could also interact and engage with the actors through scheduled live discussions on social media.
