The Bridge Project

The Bridge Project aimed to enhance the political relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan by promoting people-to-people interaction.

The project had the objective of fostering improved attitudes between the two countries, fostering a shared understanding. It also sought to create a “demand” from the population for the political peace process, while encouraging a non-confrontational and subtle approach to messaging and communications.

The project included:

  • The Food Path TV Show, which explored the culinary and cultural connections between the two nations.
  • On The Road TV Show,  which  was  based  in  both  Pakistan  and  Afghanistan,  with  a  focus  on  identifying commonalities and forging bonds between the two countries.
  • A Journalist Exchange program, aimed at contributing to a better-informed media and news industry in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
  • The Wapsi Radio Show, designed to educate Afghan refugees about the various opportunities available to them upon returning.
