Shams Haqyar is a technology and AI professional with over six years of experience spanning database management, software engineering, web development, and applied artificial intelligence. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Allahabad, India (2018), and has worked with organizations including the International Rescue Committee, SAARC Development Fund, New Kabul Bank, and Bright Vision Consultancy.
His expertise covers data collection and analysis, database administration, website development, system administration, and the management of CMS and LMS platforms such as Moodle. Shams has strong experience in building and maintaining scalable digital platforms that support education and organizational operations.
He is the creator of Lalah, an AI-powered educational chatbot built using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), designed to support learners through intelligent, multilingual, and context aware responses. His work reflects a strong focus on using AI and web technologies to expand access to quality education.
Currently, Shams serves as Team Lead for Technology and AI at Lapis Afghanistan, where he leads the development of digital learning solutions and AI-driven educational tools.
